The burial service is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 9 am. It will take place at ICGC Christ Temple East in Teshie. The internment will be a private ceremony.
A thanksgiving service will follow on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 10 am, also at ICGC Christ Temple East, Teshie. Attendees are requested to wear white attire for this service.
Evelyn Naa Otua Addo is survived by her widower, Mr. John Saka Addo, who previously served as the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. Her children include Mrs. Joy Otabil of ICGC Christ Temple and Dr. Mrs. Genevieve Nettey of Ecobank Ghana.
She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Dr. Sompa Otabil-Nelson, CEO of Dinah-Gayle Medical Clinic; Rev. Nhyira Otabil-Allotey, Resident Pastor at ICGC Cornerstone Temple; Yoofi Otabil, CEO of The Hive; Nana Aba Aseda Otabil; Grandsir Nettey; Lynette Nettey; and Giovani Nettey. She also had ten great-grandchildren.
Her in-laws include Pastor Mensa Otabil, General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), and Dr. Tetteh Nettey, Founder and Group President of Meridian Pre-University and Marshalls University College, Ghana.
Among her surviving siblings is Madam Elizabeth Korkor Abeka Bonney, while several other siblings are deceased. Numerous nephews and nieces, including Mr. Joseph Nartey and Mr. Edward Bonney, also mourn her passing. Chief mourners include prominent figures such as Nii Kwabena Bonney VI – Osu Alata Mantse, Nii Kwashei Aniefi V – Osu Alata Dzaasetse, and Mr. John Saka Addo.
